Always a treat to eat here. They always have amazing and different specials on the menu. The breakfast that they serve all day are delish. Would have posted pictures but we ate it all too fast :). The owners are fantastic and so nice.

Nice little place on maple Street in downtown Eldon. We had a classic breakfast and enjoyed it! Very friendly owners working hard. Salads and sandwiches at the next table looked very good!

Horrible horrible horrible this place has no idea how to cook breakfast I understand is probably a wife and husband family restaurant but that doesn't clear the fact that you have to cook fold fresh and the day before and then microwave it .
Also the biggest hint about a restaurant that isn't fresh is giving your customers packets of ketchup .
Their big breakfast we couldn't even find on the plate it was so small I ordered an omelette and they gave me on it that was exactly 5 inches big for $7 dollars no potatoes nothing else added to that.
I seen a lot of people coming in and the place was getting packed it's obvious that a lot of people in this town have nowhere else to go to have real good food come to Chicago and you'll see the biggest difference in your life when it comes to real breakfast.

Sorry have to be so blunt but when you have a chef that's making food half assed way they're not supposed to be making food at all, It's best just to stay home and hire a real chef to cook your food but I guess people are so used to eating is kind of full people have no

This was their huge omelette and their Big breakfast which I couldn't see at all!!! I feel sorry for these people who live in this town that are only allowed to come eat in this place with a guy who microwaves their gravy that they called freshly made, ya right!! I wasn't born yesterday , if we were to do that here in any restaurant in Chicago we would all be shut down.

I love eating here--it's such a slice of Americana. I love the family that runs the place as well. I won't lie--you won't see fancy, trendy dishes on the menu, just good home cooking. Quite frankly, I don't love this place for the food (not that it isn't good) but I love that it reminds me of the town I grew up in. Like "Cheers", this is a place where the locals go where everybody knows their name. Neighbors often eat there and swap gossip or recipes with the owners. The décor is homey and you feel like you're eating in someone's house rather than a restaurant. Plus, I'd rather support a mom and pop establishment any day over a huge corporate owned restaurants like McDonald's or Pizza hut. Good coffee, good food, good company!

Ordered the biscuits and gravy as well as some bacon on the side it was awful. The biscuits were tough and the gravy had no flavor whatsoever. The bacon just tasted like bacon flavored cardboard, the person I was with said there food was awful as well. One of the worst meals I've ever had and if you screw up sausage gravy I wouldn't even be cooking anymore.
